Program Overview:

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet robust criteria focused on experience and expertise in governance and risk management.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must possess a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission, authorizing you to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks and federal savings associations.
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NB-VII band level, including leadership roles in governance operations or risk activities, managing audits, internal controls, and enterprise risk measurement.
Additional Conditions of Employment:
- Must complete a background investigation, including enrollment in the Continuous Vetting system and FBI Rap Back service for near real-time notifications of criminal matters.
- Must file a financial disclosure report and review conflicts of interest to maintain ethical compliance.
- Ability to travel occasionally for business purposes.
- Willingness to sign a statement upon appointment confirming a transition to the Excepted Service.

Salary and Benefits
The OCC offers a competitive salary for this NB-VIII level role, with a range that includes a 25.04% geographical pay adjustment. Total pay is capped at $316,600 for 2025.
