Responsibilities
Interns at Auxin Security will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding tasks, such as:
- Learning to execute tasks assigned by senior cybersecurity managers and team members.
- Monitoring and managing tools related to security operations and architecture.
- Assisting in event assessment, incident response, and reporting to the senior security team.
- Gaining hands-on experience with tools related to endpoint, network, and cloud security, along with forensics and vulnerability management.
- Supporting Security Operations, Engineering, and GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) teams.
- Engaging in mock threat exercises to deepen knowledge of adversary tactics and incident responses.
- Attending to daily cybersecurity needs, including dashboard monitoring and evaluating system health.
A Day in the Life
Interns will shadow skilled cybersecurity professionals and gradually take on more autonomous work. They will work with operational systems to identify and escalate incidents, refine processes, and learn best practices followed by industry leaders.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this internship will meet the following qualifications and skills.
General Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completing an undergraduate degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a related field.
